From:
Nova Scotia: The Island’s eastern marinas are a convenient sail from Nova Scotia. Charlottetown, Murray Harbour, Brudenell, Cardigan, Montague, and Souris are all directly across from the shores of Nova Scotia.
New Brunswick: From Northern NB, the closest Marinas are those in Western PEI, Northport, West Point and Summerside. The coastline of NB in the Northumberland Straight is a short sail from Summerside, Victoria and Charlottetown.
Quebec: If you are sailing from Quebec, the first Marina you will hit on the North Shore is Northport. Sailing in the Northumberland Straight, West Point is the first marina that you will come to. All the Marinas on the North shore, like Malpeque, Stanley Bridge and North Rustico are a convenient sail from Quebec.
Northeastern United States: If you are sailing up the coast from the United States. The most direct route to Prince Edward Island is through the Straight of Canso between Mainland Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island. The first marina that will be approached coming from this direction is Souris.

Trailer From Confederation Bridge
Northport: 93 kilometres from Borden
Take the TransCanada to the 1A. Travel on the 1A to Highway Route 2. Drive West on Route 2 until you reach the 150 in Elmsdale. When you reach Alberton turn right on the 152 and drive through Alberton down to the Northport Marina.
West Point.
Take the TransCanada to the 1A. Travel on the 1A to Highway Route 2. Drive West on Route 2 until you reach Carleton Lot 6. Turn left off Route 2 into Coleman and drive until reaching the 140. Turn left and travel on the 140 until hitting the 14, take the 14 until reaching West Point.
Summerside: Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club: 28 kilometres from Borden
Take the TransCanada to the 1A. Travel on the 1A to highway 11 at Read’s Corner and turn left. The Marina is located in the downtown area.
Malpeque
Take the TransCanada to the 1A. Travel East on the 1A to Highway Route 2 until reaching Kensignton. Turn left on highway 20, then drive out to Malpeque.
North Rustico:
Take the TransCanada to the 1A. Travel East on the 1A to Highway Route 2 driving straight through Kensignton, following highway 6 that goes to North Rustico.
Stanley Bridge
Take the TransCanada to the 1A. Travel East on the 1A to Highway Route 2 driving straight through Kensignton, following highway 6 that goes through Stanley Bridge.
Victoria
Leaving Borden, take highway 10 east and drive out to Tryon, Turn right on 116 and head down to Victoria
Charlottetown Yacht Club: 56 kilometres from Borden
The transCanada highway will take you straight to Charlottetown
Quartermaster Marina: 56 kilometres from Borden
The transCanada highway will take you straight to Charlottetown
Bowdridge Landing: Murray Harbour
Getting on the transCanada will take you to Wood Islands. The transCanada turns into highway 4 and then highway 18 which will lead to Murray Harbour.
Montague: 102 kilometres from Borden
Travel through Charlottetown on the trans Canada until you get to Mount Mellick. Get on highway 3 and travel through New Perth to Poole’s corner where you turn right on highway 4 taking you to Montague.
Brudenell
Travel through Charlottetown on the trans Canada until you get to Mount Mellick. Get on highway 3 and travel through New Perth to Poole’s corner. Follow highway through Poole’s Corner to reach Brudenell Provincial Park on which the marina is located.
Cardigan
Travel through Charlottetown on the trans Canada until you get to Mount Mellick. Get on highway 3 and travel through New Perth to Poole’s corner, following the number three until coming to the 321. Turn left and go to Cardigan.
Souris: 137 kilometres from Borden
Travel through Charlottetown on the trans Canada until you get to Mount Mellick. Get on highway 3 and travel through New Perth to Poole’s Corner and turn left on highway 4. Follow highway four to Souris. Drive straight through town to the marina.

Northport: 197 km
Take the transCanada to Charlottetown. The trans Canada changes into highway 2 after passing through Charlottetown. Drive West on Route 2 until you reach the 150 in Elmsdale. When you reach Alberton turn right on the 152 and drive through Alberton down to the Northport Marina.

Take the transCanada to Charlottetown. The trans Canada changes into highway 2 after passing through Charlottetown. Follow Route 2 for about 71 km to reach the exit into Summerside.
Malpeque
Take the transCanada to Charlottetown. The trans Canada changes into highway 2 after passing through Charlottetown. Drive on Route 2 until reaching Kensington, about 48 km from Charlottetown. Drive straight down highway 20 to Malpeque.
North Rustico
Take the transCanada to Charlottetown. The trans Canada changes into highway 2 after passing through Charlottetown. Drive out to Milton, 5 minutes or so out of Charlottetown and turn right onto highway 7, then left on the 224. Take the 224 down to New Glasgow and turn right on the 258 down to North Rustico
Stanley Bridge
Take the transCanada to Charlottetown. The trans Canada changes into highway 2 after passing through Charlottetown. Drive about 15 minutes out of Charlottetown to Hunter River and turn right on highway 13, Drive down to New Glasgow and turn left on the 224, straight to Stanley Bridge
Victoria:
Take the transCanada to Charlottetown. Stay on the trans Canada and follow the Blue Heron Coastal Drive straight down to Victoria

The transCanada highway will take you straight to Charlottetown

Bowdridge Landing: Murray Harbour
Follow highway 4, which eventually turns into highway 18. Turn left on highway 18A towards Murray Harbour.
Montague
Off the boat at Wood Islands take the 315 and travel straight to Montague.
Brudenell
Take the 315 to Montague. The 315 turns into highway 4. Turn right at Poole’s corner onto the 3 and go to Brudenell
Cardigan
Take the 315 to Montague. The 315 turns into highway 4. Turn right at Poole’s Corner onto the 3, following the number three until coming to the 321. Turn left and go to Cardigan.
Souris
Take the 315 to Montague. The 315 turns into highway 4. Follow highway four to Souris. Drive straight through town to the marina.
